  9. Sk two sts and sl st into the next ch (indicated with an arrow in the image).
  10. Repeat steps 6 to 9 around, leaving you with five points.
  11. Break the yarn and pull through.
  12. Seam both stars together (with the wrong side facing inwards) using sl st in the same or
a contrasting colour. Leave a tail of yarn around 60cm.
  13. Thread the yarn tail onto a yarn needle and insert the needle up through the top star
    point as shown.
  14. Insert the needle down again through the same place to form a loop of about 2cm in
size. You can make the loop bigger if you prefer.
  15. Keeping the loop in place with your finger, insert the needle into the next st and pull
    firmly.
  16. Once again, insert the needle up and under through the first st you worked in to secure.
    Pull tightly.
  17. Insert the needle into the top of the star at the base of the hanging loop. Push the
needle through the star unbutton of the star, then pull it so the yarn comes through. Cut
the yarn, securing the tail inside your work. You have now finished your star and can hang
it on a tree, door handle or anywhere you like!
